At Emerald Psychology Practice we understand that chronic pain can be debilitating for many people. Both the physical and psychological impact of living with pain can have a significant impact on a person’s quality of life. Chronic pain is often multi-dimensional which means there are neurobiological and psychological factors involved.
Given the complexity of supporting people with chronic pain, our team has collaborated with our local partners, Hills Physiotherapy to develop a multi-disciplinary model of care. One of our experienced psychologists facilitates this exceptional group with an experienced physiotherapist to help participants understand and manage pain. This is an established group with regular intakes each year. We have had some outstanding results showing that you don’t have to live with pain forever and despite chronic conditions, you can have a much-improved quality of life.
